Banim Atem School

Is a complementary Jewish school in English, Spanish and Portuguese, for children without access to formal Jewish education, with the support of Jemed by the Ministry of Education of Israel and the Ministry of Diaspora.

We offer an excellent educational program in Jewish content and traditions for English-speaking students residing in the United States, Canada, the Caribbean area, and European countries.

Educational programs

History

Banim Atem School offers all spanish-speaking children a comprehensive curriculum, including Hebrew, Tanach, Jewish history, traditions, Eretz Israel, festivities, music and dance, with the aim of facilitating access to a quality Jewish education, from the preschool to secondary school, anywhere in the world.

The Banim Atem School, an initiative by Carolina Dabah, was created in January 2020 as a proposal for a virtual Jewish education for children without access to formal Jewish education.

The school started in a very simple format. We only had two morot and a basic program for preschool children. Six months later, we opened the elementary school, with almost 60 students, and only two additional morot.

The program proved to be essential in its first pilot year, reaching one hundred students, without any publicity and without financial resources, relying only on the work of its founder.

And it wasn’t easy. Israel was in the prime ministerial election period and the country was trying to recover from the biggest economic crisis since its formation. Regardless of the obstacles, its director sought door-to-door support and funding until she found quality partners committed to Jewish education and the diaspora.

Currently, Banim Atem School has a pedagogical team, an administrative team and more than 20 professionals in the different countries where we operate. We receive financial support from important organizations in Medinat Israel.

Our curriculum and educational proposal are built on educational content and technology developed in conjunction with Jewish communities around the world.

Today, the Banim Atem School is a reality for Jewish education in the diaspora, wherever you are.

The study of Jewish tradition and its sources is the main way to provide students with the necessary tools to form and strengthen their identity, ensuring the fulfillment of traditions.

Banim Atem School supports the strengthening of Medinat Israel and its link with Jewish communities in the diaspora through our educational work.

We encourage the study of Jewish history as a fundamental tool to understand the present of the Jewish people and the importance of the State of Israel.

We consider Medinat Israel the historic home of the Jewish people and we look forward to the reunion of diaspora communities in our land.

Jerusalem is the historic and eternal capital of the Jewish people in all ages, the birthplace of our patriarchs, the abode of our holy temples and the center of hope for the return of all generations to Tzion.
